John is a retired Head Teacher with a long and successful career in teaching. During his time as "Rector" of a large secondary school, the school received their by far best Inspection report. He has also worked as an Education Officer advising primary school and most recently functioned as Educational Advisor to a Christian School.

His knowledge of child development, pedagogical methods, educational theory and practice, improvement planning as well as curriculum structure and development make him an outstanding candidate for Chairman of the Board of Directors. Initially he also functions as the line manager for the school staff. 

Elizabeth had a long and successful teaching career, teaching all primary stages from P1 to P7 and eventually becoming Head Teacher of  a primary school. She has multiple qualifications in education including a Master of Education. Elizabeth has an understanding of both traditional and modern teaching methods which allows her to discern best practice in learning and teaching. Even after 40 years of work in the field her enthusiasm for children's learning is still strong.

During her retirement she has served faithfully in her local church by leading the children's ministry and developing a thorough but enjoyable programme to teach Biblical truths.

Jehian is married to Jordan and they two young children. Jehian holds a general degree in history from the University of Aberdeen and has completed a PGDE in primary teaching. 

​

He has a strong conviction of the need of distinctively Christian education in Scotland and the rest of the UK. Jehian underwent teacher training with the intention to serve Christ by building His Kingdom in this way. His enthusiasm for the work of Christian education is reflected in his hard work in developing our curriculum with the help of Elizabeth and John.

Malatl Abatan-Hellandendu is the School Administrator and Class Assistant at Doxa Theo Christian School. With a background in education and information management, she is passionate about how clear and honest communication can foster understanding and growth.

​

Her journey began with a BSc in Mass Communication from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria, and deepened through advanced studies at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, completing both master’s and doctoral degrees focused on how people engage with information in real life.

For Malatl, administration is sacred stewardship: organising and supporting the school so that every child’s learning is grounded in Biblical truth. She is committed to shaping young minds and hearts that will seek first the kingdom of God and impact the world for His glory.
